About this scholarship

Places at United World Colleges (UWC) schools for Palestinian secondary school students, for the two-year IB Diploma in English. The UWC Palestine committee selects and nominates the students, and the scholarship coverage is set for each student by need.

Funding type

Covers: in most cases tuition, accommodation and core living expenses. Does not cover: travel costs and pocket money, where the financial assessment shows the family can pay for them. A family that cannot pay may ask for extra support and send documents. Coverage is set for each student after a financial needs assessment by the national committee and the receiving school. Families will not be asked to pay more than they would pay for their child's education at home. The number of scholarships is not stated.

University admission details

Admission included in application?

The application page states that it opens on 2 October 2026 and closes on 30 November 2026 at 11:59 pm Central European Time. The committee's page says the application opens on 1 October. Selection has two stages. Independent reviewers assess the application, then shortlisted applicants are interviewed online. The committee nominates successful students to a UWC school. You can accept or decline the nomination, but you cannot ask to change the school. The school makes the final decision. A declined place goes to a student on the waiting list. Every applicant is told the result by email and/or WhatsApp. The committee does not give individual feedback. If a document is missing because of displacement, lost records or movement limits, say so in the application. A missing document does not automatically disqualify you. The committee's page says an unexpired passport is the most important document to upload. The application page lists an ID, passport or travel document. The committee says answers must be in your own words, and applications that use AI to generate answers may be disqualified. The page calls this round 2026/2027 and does not state when the courses start.
