Not open yet Partially funded?

About this scholarship

A tuition fee scholarship for citizens of countries outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland who apply to an international master's programme at Uppsala University starting in autumn 2027. It covers the full tuition fee but not living costs. The university says only about 2 percent of applicants receive a scholarship.

Funding type

Covers: the full tuition fee of an international master's programme at Uppsala University. Does not cover: living expenses. The fees page gives SEK 49,500 to 90,000 per semester of full-time study, depending on the programme. Each programme page shows the exact fee. You must still be able to show the living funds the Swedish Migration Agency asks for to get a residence permit. The scholarship pages do not give the amount. The page does not mention travel, insurance or the number of awards.

Required later?

There are two applications. First apply for the programme at universityadmissions.se in the international round, from 16 October 2026 to 15 January 2027, with the Uppsala programme as your first choice. Pay the SEK 900 application fee and upload all documents to University Admissions by 1 February 2027. Its deadlines end at midnight CET. A late application, a late fee payment or missing documents make you ineligible for the scholarship. Then fill in the online scholarship form, open from 16 January to 1 February 2027. The link is posted on the scholarship application guide when the form opens. Late applications are not accepted, and the time of day is not stated. In the form you give your eight-digit University Admissions application number and a motivational letter of up to 350 words. You upload no documents and there is no fee. Scholarship selection runs at the same time as admission. Master's admission results are published on 1 April 2027, and the scholarship pages give no date for scholarship results.
