About this scholarship

A scholarship of EUR 6,000 a year for fee-paying students on the international master's programmes of the University of Lapland in Finland, for the autumn 2027 intake. You ask for it on the admission form, and it goes to one fifth of the students admitted to each programme.

Funding type

Covers: EUR 6,000 of the tuition fee each year, for the 2 years of the master's. The fee for the autumn 2027 intake is EUR 13,000 a year, so a scholarship holder pays EUR 7,000 plus the EUR 61 student union fee. Does not cover: living costs. To keep it in the second year you need at least 60 credits and a GPA of 3 out of 5 in the first year. The page also lists an early bird discount of EUR 1,300 for first year students who accept and pay within two weeks of the results. For the 2026 intake this discount did not apply to scholarship holders.
