TU/e Scholarship for Excellence 2027/2028

Applications open Partially funded?

About this scholarship

A scholarship for outstanding master's students on 12 programmes in applied physics, electrical and mechanical engineering, mathematics and computer science at Eindhoven, part of an effort to support the microchip sector. About 35 are given, 15 of them for students from outside the European Economic Area.

Funding type

Covers: EUR 7,500 for each academic year for two years, paid in monthly instalments to a Dutch or SEPA bank account. For students from outside the European Economic Area, part of the first year's amount comes from the government NL Scholarship automatically. You do not apply for it separately. Does not cover: the full cost of studying. The university says you must pay a significant part of tuition and living costs yourself, and you must still show enough funds for the visa. The second year depends on passing at least 45 ECTS in the first year.
