About this scholarship

The Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education announces scholarships at Bangladesh University of Professionals but does not say what they cover. The ministry announcement does not say what the scholarships cover, how many there are or how students are chosen. Separately, the university's fee page lists an 85% tuition waiver at bachelor level for one student from each non-SAARC country in 2027, so the student pays USD 180 a semester instead of USD 1,125. According to the university's expenses page, a room in the university hall is about USD 30 to 40 a month and food is about USD 50 to 60 a month. Travel and insurance are not mentioned.

University admission details

Admission included in application?

Ministry deadline: Thursday 29 October 2026 at one o'clock, and the page does not say whether this is morning or afternoon. The ministry sets appointments for handing in the documents. No applications are accepted after that, and incomplete ones are rejected. Apply to the university, then hand in a copy of the application with certified documents at the ministry in Ramallah, or at its Nablus and Hebron offices, according to the set appointments. Students in Gaza email them to [email protected] and state the scholarship name, field and degree. University deadline for bachelor's programmes: by 31 December 2026, with classes starting on 31 January 2027. Admission is once a year. After applying you have an online interview, and those who pass get a provisional offer. You then pay 20% of the first semester tuition, and the university issues the visa letter. The payment is returned if the visa is refused, less transaction costs. The application fee is USD 25. The apply page says it is not applicable for 2027. The documents page carries the same note for 2026, so it looks out of date. Ask the university office before you pay. The ministry says to apply on the university's international students website, but we found no online form there, and the university's own pages say to email the application and documents to [email protected]. Email the university, and give the ministry its copy.
